THE FOUNDER

Liza Vassell is the founder and CEO of Brooklyn PR, a Black-owned international fashion and lifestyle public relations agency based in Los Angeles with deep roots and extensive experience across Europe and the United States.

A former model, marketing strategist and creative director, Liza built her career working throughout Europe with renowned fashion houses including Elie Saab, Gianfranco Ferré and Giorgio Armani before establishing Brooklyn PR in 2012. Her international experience across European and U.S. markets, combined with her instinctive approach, has enabled brands to expand their presence through celebrity placements, media relations, digital marketing, creative consulting, strategic partnerships and experiential events.

Her work has contributed to placements involving Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Gwen Stefani, Ryan Gosling, Sir Paul McCartney, Sterling K. Brown, Demi Moore, Colman Domingo, Jenna Ortega and Justin Bieber, among many others.

Today, Liza is leading Brooklyn PR beyond traditional fashion publicity by creating original lifestyle strategies, cross-industry collaborations and culturally relevant brand experiences. She also founded the Liza Vassell Foundation to mentor emerging talent and create greater access to careers in public relations, fashion, marketing and the creative industries.
